An Email from an Old Friend

Greeting Revoked Mobsters, while it has taken on many incarnations, revoked Life is a mindset that I still hold very close to my heart , we all go our separate ways in the quest to make sense of ourselves and our situations, some have been more in depth in the movement than others but all have played a critical part in our ideologies. I firmly believe that the revoked mob collective is capable of anything and everything. while we all carve our own niche let us not forget that our goal is similar.

Trash On The Beach

This is a growing issue. Trash on the beach has always been a problem, however, recently with the beer ban and now with the city removing our trash cans it just getting retarded. While surfing off of Santa Cruz St. today Channel 8 was there filming and noticed we had some trash in our hands that we were taking home from the beach (doing our part) and they told us they were trying to get the message out. So, here I am doing the same. Watch their clip if you have a few minutes.

New Skate Shop

We just got back from a Grand Opening for SK8BOX skateboard shop between 32nd and 33rd on Adams Ave. This is a good skateboard shop ran by good people. The night was filled with live music, beer and plenty of people. These guys just started out so the selection is a little sparse but the quality of product available is just as good as anywhere else. If your in the area and you find your self needing to re-up on some product stop by and support your local shop.

World Travel

New Section Added!

We have begun a new section, Surfers, here at RevokedLife. In our Surfer's section you will see local surfers ripp'n it up. New surfer's are being added weekly so check back often to see the latest photo's. Some of the spots we cover are The Boil at the end of Sunset Cliff's, The Pier and Avalanche's south jeddy in Ocean Beach - San Diego, CA.

Hey Readers

Word has been getting around there is a new skateboard company on the streets. Gabe Ryan, owner, of Just Skateboard Co. has been doing steady business on the down-low through his grommet connections for the last year now! Who new!? I first saw one of his decks at Ryan McCleary's pad. The company logo is perfect and emphasizes the point the company is trying to make... "Just Skate"

I had a chance to meet with Gabe Ryan a couple of weeks ago and ask him about where he sees his company going and what it's focus is. He explained that while the company name does come from his own roots of his fathers Skateboard shop "Just SK8" it is also a motivator for grommets to "Just" do what ever it is they want to do. This is a great concept and I know all of have had a time where Just getting out there and going to the local skateboard park or whatever need a little extra motivation.

We will keep you posted on how Just Skateboard Co. is doing. So, check back for more news. Oh and one last thing... you may not find Just decks in your local skate shop and that's due to some shops insisting on marking up the price of the boards to the same as all the other companies even though Just sells them to the shops so the shops can sell them to the public for a more affordable price.
